Food
Cal Fresh provides qualifying students with up to $204 a month to buy healthy, nutritious foods. It’s a federally mandated, state-supervised, and county-operated government entitlement program that provides monthly food benefits to qualified Highlanders. These benefits can be used at various local grocery and convenience stores, most farmers markets, Scotty's convenience store located at the Highlander Union Building (HUB) and now online
Grocery Support - Short-Term Grocery Support is intended for UCR undergraduate and graduate students who are experiencing food insecurity and need additional financial support to purchase groceries.
R’Garden - The 3-acre space includes a community garden, row crops, a Valencia orchard and a greenhouse area where members of the UCR community can grow fresh produce. Some of the fruits and vegetables grown are given to R'Pantry. Students are welcome to pick fruits and vegetables for free, and are invited to help harvest or plant new crops. Located next to Lot 30 Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–sunset; Saturday, 9 a.m.–12 p.m.; Sunday, 5 p.m.–sunset.
Cooking Well - Come by the SRC's classroom kitchen for weekly healthy cooking classes to learn how to prepare your own meals and try some good eats.

The Well - The WELL is UCR's wellness center and health promotion department, and provides education, trainings, resources, and programming for students in a variety of health and wellness topic areas through a network of peer educators, mentors and professionals.

Emergency Housing - Short-Term Emergency Housing Program provides undergraduate and graduate students with temporary housing if they are experiencing housing displacement or homelessness. Our goal is to ensure our students' safety and provide them with adequate time to acquire permanent and secure housing. Placement is subject to space availability and individual student circumstances.
